Work Permit:
To work in Jersey, you’ll need a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS) – sometimes known as a ‘letter of good standing’. The GPhC can provide this to the Jersey regulating body. The certificate supplied by the GPhC will include your full name, address, date of birth, details of your pharmacy education, your current registration status and any current or past fitness to practice matters.
To apply for this certificate, you must log onto your “myGPhC”. It usually takes approximately 28 days to prepare a CCPS and is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. A registation fee of £100 is required.
Once the permit is gained, you must renew your registration as a pharmacist every year. You'll receive an email to initiate this process, together with a renewal form, in early January each year. If you do not renew, you’re removed from the register and cannot continue to work as a pharmacist in Jersey.
